Projections show that it could increase by $800 billion, by January. The national debt is the greatest threat to our national security, economy and future of our children. Career politicians from both parties are responsible. Our debt was less than $3 trillion in 1988 and is now $17 trillion. We must hold our elected officials accountable for poor job performance.
