We must understand that some people will never be satisfied with anything that we attempt to do to please them, to appease them, to comfort them, to support them or to love them, our efforts, regardless of their magnitude, will never be enough. Sometimes we can love someone so much that we lose a little bit of ourselves in every moment that we show our love for them. There comes a time when we must evaluate our circumstances, put everything into proper perspective and determine what will be best for us, especially when we have discovered that, according to others, in spite of what we do, it is never enough. Some of us spend so much time and put so much energy into others that we begin to neglect ourselves in the process. There may be times on this journey when we discover that although we have the best interest of others at heart, that does guarantee that they will always have ours. We must understand that, at some point, we may have to accept the reality of others expecting much more than they are willing to give and no matter how much we pray, how hard we try, how long we wait, how intensely we love, our best will simply never be enough for them.(Col 3:23-24)T.
