We need internet connectivity that is not dependent on the grid. We need to install network repeaters into every wind mill and solar panels that are sold. Because the communication and transactional systems we now rely on are connected via the hardwired internet which is incredibly fragile and breaks with earthquakes and flooding. Mark Zuckerberg is putting the Internet into the sky to reach new users in South America, Africa and Asia (through mobile networking). Inadvertently, he is protecting us against future Internet failure here and making sure we can continue to work and waste time on the Internet. internet.org
