We need the general population to know the warning signs for type 1. We need parents and pediatricians and General practitioners and nurses to be aware -to know that type 1 can happen to ANYONE at ANY age. To think to test for it when people present with symptoms regardless of age or overall health. We need people to be properly diagnosed before they end up in ICU or before it is too late like it was for baby Reegan. Take a look at this petition, read their story, see one of the millions of reasons I am so passionate about spreading awareness. Im not sure if this is exactly how we get that done but something needs to happen to make type one diabetes something that doctors patients and the general population talk about.
