We need the same rights as every other city in Britain. They can call for a vote on whether a city should or should not have a Mayor. Bristol CANNOT. It has rights whatsoever in this respect. So if Manchester or Leicester or wherever raises a petition with 5% of the city signing the Mayoral system can be voted on again. In Bristol we are stuck with it and can do absolutely nothing about it.
