We need to be dedicated to our ideals and goals. There may be many which will try to dissuade us from following our dreams. By continuing to give up our dreams from the slightest suggestion of the outside world we will never be able to achieve anything. There will always be voices present to discourage us. Mixed in with the discouraging voices will also be voices of wisdom. We would be foolish to shut out the insight and wisdom of everyone because they may dissuade us from our desired path. We are susceptible to ignoring facts which if properly considered may dash our dreams. Yet by ignoring them we will find the error of our chosen direction in a more painful way. We can and should listen to those outside voices and learn from their wisdom, but we should take what we hear just as information to consider and not as gospel to be religiously followed by giving up our dreams without any further thought. There may be times when our goals may need to be adjusted and other times after careful consideration of some outside input we continue to move forward but with added wisdom to some of the possible setbacks we may encounter while on our journey towards achieving our dreams. ~Troy Flourishing Life Society
