We need to confound the logic of state and its police apparatus by stepping up the concept of “solidarity” — not merely in name but unfailingly in practice, whether on the streets or elsewhere. Everywhere. We need to have each other’s backs, just like the folks who bravely outed these undercover cops, putting themselves in harm’s way to try to ensure everyone makes it home after a night on the streets. We need to remember why we are on the streets to begin with: cops will and do kill, every single day in this United States, and often more, with near-complete impunity.
