We need to get over the idea that tax is a bad thing. You cant get wealthy on your own. You need the infra-structure of society , to which we all contribute. I was speaking at a meeting today talking about how we need to be looking to the Scandinavian countries for an alternative to the way we are running our own economy. As it happens one of our readers (thanks Trish) sent me a link to a recent New York Times article ( see below). A couple of lines immediately caught my eye.. what’s important about a social welfare plan may be more about what the money is spent on than how much is spent In our country we have two core problems related to tax: 1.We need to start collecting the estimated 5 Billion dollars of tax fraud committed each year. 2. We need to spend smarter and on things that really matter. Do you want to spend tax dollars on Flags? New Money? and Sailing?
