We need to highlight contribution of real heroes of the nation. First starting with Vallabhai Patel (Statue of Unity ) and then Statues of Lal Bahadhur Shastri, Swami Vivekananda, Lokmanya Tilak, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Netaji Subash Chandra bose should be erected across nation so that people feel pride and associate themselves with them. Along with Statues there can be learning centres associated with Science or any other streams. Many critics have suggested this is national waste of resources. Yes if that is the case why have we built grand statues of womaniser nehru and fake Gandhis (Indira Married Khan and Adopted Gandhi Surname) and why is the President of India spending his days in sprawling Rashtrapati Bhavan since Independance. When poverty is the yardstick for this project why should be President of India be exempted ? Statue of Unity is tribute to greatest leader of post Independant India Sardar Vallabhai Patel who played stellar role in unifying India by convincing 543 princely states to join Indian union. An those sickular marxsist intelligentsia are shouting tooth and nail against this were they dead when schemes on Fake Gandhis and Nehru were being flagged all these years that did not yeild any result. And yes spending 200 crores and then developing it as tourist spot would rake lot of revenues in the form of employment generation and forex reserves as well. Seems the lobby which was living on the grants of previous govt is now facing terrible days. So they need something to bark hence this type of irrelevant protest.. Also Let me add Modi is Businessman and he knows how to develop region when Statue of Liberty comes in. Residential and Commercial projects will develop in that region. Economic activity will take place and also remember that would lead to employment generation and empowerment. And yes being Agarwal let me add Maharaja Agrasen Bhawans made of marble remain sustainable only due to resource generation ability of these bhawans. They do philantrophic activities by providing prayer hall to non agarwals @ paltry sum. And yes they do have marriage halls where they charge bomb for hosting marriage ceremonies. So any project to sustain they need to generate interest and resource and statue of unity promises that to improve the region of Kutch. Similarly let me add before the release of movie 3 Idiots no one evinced interest in Ladakh and Leh. But after the release the landscapes of Leh invited many tourist from all parts of India. That is the magic Statue of Unity can do and this should be emulated across India...
