We need your help! PLEASE SHARE THIS STATUS!! Twenty-five percent of the nation’s total active duty and reserve personnel seek aid from food pantries and other charitable programs across the country. And thats on top of the thousands upon thousands of in-need and homeless veterans in our country. Lets stand together to make a difference for veterans and servicemen and women this holiday season. Southern California Labor will continue the Food Drive for Veterans Nov. 11 at the OC Fair & Event Center, during our FREE Veterans Day community celebration from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Well have free hot dogs off the grill, cheap beverages and lots of entertainment for you to enjoy! Were trying to raise at least 2,000 lbs. (1 ton) of donations to tell veterans Thanks a ton! for your service. Requested donations include: -Canned and instant soups, pastas, and canned fruits and vegetables -Ethnic foods (Hispanic, Asian, etc.) -Foods that require low heat or no heat for homeless families -Special-needs foods including low-sugar, no-salt, no-cholesterol, gluten-free, etc. -Money/gift cards to purchase food -Baby items including baby food, diapers, clothing, bottles, etc. -Non-toxic household supplies including toothpaste, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, etc. All items should be brand new and brought to the OC Fair & Event Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11.
