We need your help to make sure another trade deal will not hurt working families. The Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP)… or NAFTA on Steroids continues to move forward. With each passing day, there is a growing risk that supporters of TPP will introduce Fast Track legislation and rush the agreement through Congress without much oversight. There are three Illinois Democrats that have yet to take a position on TPP… Reps. Tammy Duckworth, Cheri Bustos and Brad Schneider. Please reach out to them about TPP’s impact on jobs, workers’ rights, environment, food and product safety, and affordable medicine. We are asking that they NOT support fast track legislation on TPP until the process is made more transparent. While the world is focused on military intervention in Syria, TTP looms large in the background. Prior to the recent G20 meeting in Russia, The 19th round of TPP talks took place in the wealthy island nation of Brunei. The talks among the TPP finance ministers remain veiled in secrecy.
