We need your help to purchase a 6 Bedroom B&B and operational Veterans Farm, in the form of CDs, deposited at Centinel Bank of Taos. Not Forgotten Outreach (NFO) understands that Military Families need a break now and then. NFO’s B&B will provide a quiet and safe respite in the supportive environment of Taos, NM. While staying at NFO’s B&B, Military Families will have the opportunity to share strategies for overcoming obstacles while building the bonds of fellowship and friendship, FREE to Military Families of New Mexico and from around the United States. Not Forgotten Outreach’s Founder and President Kym Sanchez served as the Casualty Assistant Non Commissioned Officer in Charge (NCOIC) 1st Infantry Division, Divisional Headquarters in Iraq in 2004-2005, her duties included burying over 180 soldiers, and she then buried her husband, SGT Timothy Sanchez, who was killed in action in 2007, in Baghdad, Iraq. Kym’s extensive first-hand knowledge of the emotional trauma that military families bear, invigorated her to form the 501(c) (3), Not Forgotten Outreach; with the mission of providing therapeutic and recreational activities for Military Families. In 2013, Not Forgotten Outreach provided programs for over 1,750 Military Families. Kym’s goal from the beginning was to provide a respite location for Military Families to stay free, in Taos, NM. Not Forgotten Outreach has collaborated with University of New Mexico’s Taos Sustainability Studies Programs to perform the needed repairs and ADA remodeling to NFO’s B&B located at 461 Calle Esequiel. Many local organizations and individuals are willing to help with Labor and fund the supplies needed for the repairs. NFO will utilize the 2-acre B&B as: • The 2-acre parcel will be a working Farm, with greenhouse, farm animals and field crops and the Teaching facility for NFO’s, USDA’s grant “Beginning Farmers/Ranchers Development Program”. • Renting out two bedrooms to civilians to cover the expenses of B&B • Military Families will be allowed to stay at the B&B FREE, for up to 1 week. We are asking for your help in the way of Cash Deposits (CD), to be held by Centinel Bank of Taos, as collateral for a loan to purchase the “Old Orinda” B&B. The CD’s will not be cashed in; they are only being used as collateral to minimize Centinel Bank of Taos exposure, the loan percentage rate and in-lieu of a cash down payment. NFO’s is working with Angel Reyes, a former Army Lieutenant and now President of Centinel Bank of Taos. NFO President Kym Gaylin-Sanchez will guarantee the Loan. Monthly Income projections for the B&B total: $8,692.00 a month • Renting out 2 bedrooms at a 66% occupancy rate: $6,800.00 a month • Lease income from the Beginning Farmer/Rancher Development Program: $1,892.00 a month Monthly Operational Expense projections for the B&B: $5,686.67 a month B&B Net Monthly: $1,645.33 B&B Net Yearly: $19,744.00
