We never ever bring birds in to our team, unless there is lifelong - TopicsExpress

We never ever bring birds in to our team, unless there is lifelong justification and purpose for them being here. However, sometimes things dont work out as planned. We have two wonderful Brown Asian Wood Owls here, Jordan and Taru. They are fantastic at what they do on experience days in the woods with guests. However, they also needed to be able to off site demonstrations which would give the workload to keep them fit, active and stimulated. Furthermore, the plan was to breed them. However, both birds (and it seems the species as a whole) are super nervous out of the woods and are unsuitable for off site flying demonstrations. Secondly, they hate each other! Breeding is a non starter. Thus, with heavy hearts (these birds are brilliant in their correct environment) and moreoever for their own proper stimulation, satisfaction and feeling of purpose, we have decided that we have to sell them. We need to find good homes where they can be flown daily in a woodland situation where they will continue to blossom and thrive. A hard choice, but the right one for the birds.
