We normally teach our daughter not to talk to strangers (for her safety), but today we saw a little lady obviously struggling with heavy grocery bags walking near our neighborhood. I was paying attention to the road when she asked me Mommy, do you think we should stop and help that woman? She looks like shes having a hard time. We NEVER pick up strangers. Never. You just never know. That being said, we turned the car around and asked the lady if she needed help. She was an older Asian woman, but we couldnt tell til she got in the car b/c she was wearing a big straw hat & sunglasses. She rode the bus to/ from the grocery store and then walked the rest of the way home. She was so grateful that we stopped to help. After we dropped her off, baby girl said Mommy, I know we broke one of your rules, but Im glad we did. She reminded me of grandma, and I wouldnt want grandma walking home by herself carrying heavy grocery bags. I guess some rules are made to be broken??? Grateful that it turned out to be a safe situation where we were able to help someone truly in need. #payitforward P. S. 11:11 ❤️
