We now have a range of SMD LEDs in stock. These are in Golden-White, Red, Green and Yellow. Two new colours will be available soon - Blue and White. These lights are very small LEDs using Surface Mounted Device (SMD) technology. They are 2.00mm x 1.25mm in size with 200mm leads. A resistor (1,000 ohms) is wired into one of the leads to allow it to be used directly from a 12V - 16V DC/AC power supply. They draw about 15mA to 20mA (depends on voltage). As can be seen the wires are soldered onto the back of the LED both in the same direction facilitating installation. They are particularly suitable for installation in model railway engines, rolling stock, signals, model lights as well as for general lighting of buildings.
