We often hear or see the phrase, "We become our thoughts" but - TopicsExpress

We often hear or see the phrase, "We become our thoughts" but really, what does this mean and how does it happen? The brain has over 60,000 thoughts per day, most of them happening on auto-pilot. In other words, unconscious thought stream. Basically, they are mini computers with overactive hard drives and when left to their own accord can easily run out of control, so to speak. The bottom line is that we give our thoughts power when we attach ourselves (emotion) to them. Until that point they are nothing more than words being spit out--we either save them like a word document or decide to hit the delete button. Our choice. The trick is becoming constantly aware of the what the brain is feeding us, the emotion we are ALLOWING ourselves to feel in relation to the thought, and immediately cutting the pattern off by taking a moment to dissect, analyze and decide if we want to finance (attach ourselves) that thought. Awareness. Change your thoughts, change your life!
