We often lose touch with the magnitude of who God is. His anger is enough to reduce us to nothing, if that would be His desire. Take a moment today to remember that you live under the grace and mercy of God. Jesus stepped in so that we might be saved into and experience restored, reconciled relationship with God. God’s wrath that is too much for us was poured out upon Christ as a sacrifice for our sins. Jesus was wounded and bruised, and He paid the ultimate price. Holy Spirit, lead us and guide us into all truth and do not let us go astray. Lord God, direct our steps and keep us tightly in Your grip. Lord, we know that people do not control their own destiny. It is not in their power to determine what will happen to them. Correct us, Lord, but only in due measure. Do not punish us in anger or you will reduce us to nothing. Jeremiah 10:23-24
