We open our Warm Courtyard tomorrow to welcome a Cold January Thursday Morning! Fresh Made Soup seems to be in order, and after much thought....A Chicken and Corn Chowder seems to be in our Focus! Fresh Made? Of Course! White and Dark Meat off the Bone of (2) Whole Roasted Chickens, Sweet Corn, Fresh Chopped Celery, Fresh Carrots, Fresh Onion, Red Potato served up in a Piping Hot Delicious Broth and served with Extra Sharp Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese Toast (Sliced Diagonally, Of Course). Our Soup.....Well.... we can buy soup, unfreeze it, and serve it up. We have been to Food Shows and have sampled it. Frankly...Its pretty good! Actually...REALLY Good. But at Densons Grocery and R&B Oyster Bar, we just cant picture us pouring something out of a Bag and serving it to our customers. ALL Food Service Groups offer it, but we just cant bring ourselves to do it. We have to make it ourselves!!!! Another NEW feature this Weekend....Its a New Year, and as always, everyone is thinking about Healthy Choices. From Chef Jeff Henderson...A Red Bean and Kale Burger...No Meat. Fresh and Organic Kale from Blenheim Organic Gardens, Red Beans, Sweet Peppers, Crystal Hot sauce, Onion and FLAVOR. Also...We are BIG Seinfeld Fans...Look for a BIG Salad! And that....Is Just Lunch! Fridays Dinner Feature is Shrimp and Grits Night. Our Grits....Stone Ground from South Carolina, Our Shrimp. Wild Caught,Domestic, Right Off the Boat, Sweet Georgia Browns! Topped with REAL Tasso Ham Gravy! We love to disclose where our food originates. FYI...(3) Questions to ask when ordering shrimp. Was it previously Frozen?, Is it Imported? Is it Farm Rasied? Also...Grilled Pork Chops, Chesapeake Bay Rockfish, Chesapeake Bay Oysters, More and More!!!!! See you this weekend!
