We ought to never forget that even our weaknesses serve to show us the greatness of God. Therefore when you are tired from a ten hour shift, remember that he is of infinite strength, and at the first drop of sweat in working for your own salvation you would faint from exhaustion. Yet in the riches of his grace he has the power to save the most wretched of sinners with ease. When your body aches with pain, remember that you possess no power to touch one limb of your own body and make it whole, but God reaches down at what was once a diseased heart of stone, and makes it a healthy heart of flesh. Therefore, I will boast in my weakness, because in my imperfections his perfection is revealed. So when I boast in my weakness, I am really boasting in his greatness. For I know that despite all that I have done to deserve his wrath he saw it fit save me, through the cross of Christ, and to give to me the righteousness of Jesus. So let our prayers become that we may decrease so that he may increase, that we would be last and him be first, and our glory-stealing flesh would die that he alone would be glorified.
