We overate democracy too much sometimes in Zambia. Sometimes - TopicsExpress

We overate democracy too much sometimes in Zambia. Sometimes democracy is too expensive and not something we can afford as a developing nation. Further parliament can ratify the caretaker president position till 2016. As I advocate that we dont hold bye elections I get inspired by what Jesus did on the Sabbath. People said it was against the law for him to heal on the Sabbath but he made them realize that the law was made for man not man for the law. Yes our law says we should hold bye elections but trust me any Zambian starving or struggling to make ends meet would prefer we spent K200 million on poverty reduction or into agriculture. Remember the majority of countries experienced greatest development under monarchies like UK and other European countries, a look at Asian countries referred to as the Asian tigers China or Malaysia have also developed under similar circumstances. Democracy isnt a precondition to development, Its development that is the precondition to democracy. Rest In Peace Your Excellency, we shall miss you and your service to the country.
