We pay our homage & great tribute to the father of modern Indian chemical science, ACHARYA PRAFULLA CHANDRA ROY(2nd August, 1861 - 16th June, 1944) on his 154th Happy Birthday. He founded The Bengal Chemical & Pharmaceutical works ltd., the first pharmaceutical company in India as well as in Asia. As a Professor in Calcutta University & in Th Presidency College he discovered Mercurous Nitrate component also. The Royal Society of Chemistry honoured his life and work with the first ever Chemical Landmark Plaque outside Europe..............!!!!!!!!
