We planted 4 different types of onions this spring and they are all doing well. The regular yellow onions, unlike the three other types, we plant side by side rather than several inches apart. As they grow, every other onion gets picked for green/spring onions, gradually leaving room for the remaining onions to grow and mature. Today they have reached the desired size for pickling. Traditional British pub pickled onions. Might think of investing in some onion goggles for next year!
