We probably arent 17 trillion in debt well we probably are but I bet it wasnt money spent. Here is what I think..... All this money that came up missing has probably been converted to another currency and transferred to an overseas account. That is probably why all those bankers came up dead to keep them from talking. They probably got nervous when Snowden started spilling the beans and wanted to get rid of them (the bankers) so they couldnt confirm anything Snowden might say about the missing money
