We pulled off a big surprise for our gracious hostess Barb Lucas last night at our show at the Painted Horse in Bartlesville OK. She told us on our last visit how her soon to be husband Clark won her heart! He took Barb on a long drive in early Fall one evening and she wasnt sure what the heck he was doing, but went along. After a while he pulls the truck over, jumps out and disappears in the brush. Shes sitting there waiting for what seemed like eternity when he pops back out holding something in his hand. He hands it to her saying Barb, this here is the last rose of summer. I want you to have it.! She said that was all it took. They were married soon after! On the trip up the boys and I wrote this song for her. We stopped and bought 3 red roses before the show. We performed the song acapella, then handed her the roses in front of the crowd!
