We pulled these sweeties yesterday from the shelter.. Everyone meet Ryder(baby) and Xena(mama) We didnt really have any time to network for pledges or fosters before we could get them. Usually we would never pull first day a dog is available if it Isnt the day before kill day. But this week the shelter was limited on space, and hours are cut down this week. Theres no doubt in my mind Xena (mama) wouldve been adopted in the shelter, but what I do doubt is that the right home wouldve gotten her.. Not even 20 mins out of the shelter and our volunteer was approached by a guy,who looked like trouble... claimed he had been looking for a broad, sturdy pit bull and proceeded to try to BUY her off of our volunteer! Not knowing anything about her or our volunteer... With us she will only go to a screened home and safe environment. And of course she will finally be spayed so she will not have to worry about having anymore babies. Please consider donating or fostering if able! Mama and baby are at the vet getting checked out!
