We put the tree and Nativity Scene up last night after Amelie went to bed. When she woke up this morning, she was shocked and asked us how it happened. We told her that her nutcracker Nutty must have done it when we were sleeping. She accepted that on faith. Tonight she was playing with her child-friendly Nativity Scene and asked Desiree Desalle-baron who everyone was. Rather than try to overload her with the story of the Nativity right before bed, she sang her this song. Stumbling for the lyrics for the second verse, I pulled this video up and played it for them. Amelie was immediately hypnotized and watched with the most serene look on her face she had all day. Whether you believe or not is irrelevant - its a beautiful story full of hope and peace. Isnt that all that really matters?
