We really like celebrating this winter solstice happiness and we - TopicsExpress

We really like celebrating this winter solstice happiness and we like all the festivity frolicking weve been indulging in, a lot. Today is the first day of our extended celebration, ending officially on the first day of the new year. Sandwiched inside this time frame is also my birthday, and we like to live it up, too. Well, live it up old fogey, bone-woggy way. I wont be skiing down a crystal-sparkling snowy slope nor will I be making my way up a cliff on a rope ladder swinging high above some Himalayan gorge on the way to some obscure, ancient temple. Nope. I wont be doing that. I might meander around and about the park out near the Little Grand Canyon gorge and snap some cameratic winter scenes, pop some Snacky Nibbles down the hatch, and/or watch the Geese and Ducks grok God as Pond and Sky. I just might. What I, or rather we are up to today is making marvelous food wonders for the feasting we like to do through these 12 days of magic and laughter together. We just took a batch of miniature Pecan-Chocolate pielings with a Cream Cheese, buttery crust. Oh yes its a complete Yum to this one! Some of the names of some of the other yumables well be gobbling on for the 12-day celebrationary period are bite-sized Apple Fritters, Chocolate-dipped Bear Paws (think buttery, cinnamon, cloves, dark chocolate, toasted almonds), Orange-Pecan Sweet Rolls, Turtles, Bavarian Apple Pie, Golden Pear-Ginger Tart, Lemon Cream Cakes, Lemon-ricotta Danish, Lemon-Ginger Molasses Muffins ... and if we get really ambitious were going to make our first batch ever of Syds famous and secret-recipe of Bacon Caramels. I wont mention the Lobster Pizza made exactly like the delicious Red Lobster Pizza appetizer that were eating for dinner tonight, nor the Beer-batter Portabella mushrooms. Lots of indulgent eats are coming our way these coming days. We do enjoy fabulous food fare during these rainy, happy, busy holidays, today and every day ... I am way completely blessed, and in this blessing I am also opened up to the infinite possibilities that are before me now, before all of us. As I walked to the open front door to check the rain, and as the colorful little lights placed along the sidewalk leapt and danced, the song O Holy Night by Andy Williams came on and what else but I immediately became a weepery freak, a cry-baby mush-heart, just squalling my heart out once again at the immense sense of Gratitude pouring over me, washing through my entire being. I have such thankfulness for all of it, for everything and for everyone. I am so utterly blessed. I am so blessed with such Beautiful, wonderful people in my life, and in my heart. Gratitude ... thats the attitude. Complete Gratitude for you, for all of you. https://youtube/watch?v=W-RAnkH8Jxc
