We really missed you all yesterday and we are looking forward to Sunday , just love baptisms ... I remember being baptised like it was yesterday. I was born again at a Don Double rally at Christchurch in Swanley on the 16th October 1989 the message was great it was like the lights were switched on and everything seemed to fall into place We had been searching for years ,knowing that there was more to life and that night we found it or did it find us? I walked home feeling ten foot tall It was the start of a new life .... We kept talking about being confirmed and we did start classes , well we did one class to be exact It was not what we were looking for . We started going to Elim church Swanley It was more our scene .. The preach was often about being born again and being baptised. I wanted to be baptised ,Mick was a bit apprehensive .. On the day of the baptisms I went prepared Mick did not ... When my turn came I went forward and Mick came along behind I thought just to watch butt he said to the pastor could we be baptised together ... The pastor thought for a minute and then said I see no reason why not.. So we were baptised together. It was an amazing experience , I went under the water and rose up out of the water as if in slow motion I could see every droplet of water the light around us was sparkling like the sun on a pond I felt like I could fly . I knew that the holy spirit was with me it was amazing It was one of the best days in my life . Jesus is my strength .my Peace and my comfort ..and that the Holy Spirit is always with me. If anyone is thinking of being baptised this weekend It will be one of the best decisions you make.
