We really try to avoid drama on social media as we really don’t - TopicsExpress

We really try to avoid drama on social media as we really don’t have time for it but a current situation over the past day really disgusts us and just couldn’t avoid this one. When you are a personal trainer you have a responsibility to motivate others to achieve their goals whether you want that responsibility or not. So when sometimes you don’t agree with a situation you don’t go and bash that person that may not be as genetically blessed as you and point out to everyone that they are overweight and don’t know what they are talking about as this happened today by a local trainer. We as trainers have a role to inspire others to reach their goals. It seems as of late some want to continuously take shots at how we do things and so let me give you a fact. We have been in business for 6 years as of Dec and will start year number 7 in Jan. Why do we do contest preps? Putting people on stage inspires others to think that wow, if so and so does it than why can’t I do it, and now that person is in the gym working hard, cleaning up their diet and losing weight and changing their life. They may never get on stage but seeing someone else who did it is what inspired them to get up and get moving and we have tons of clients who came to us because they saw so and so get on stage and now want to change their body and their lifestyle and this cycle just continues on repeating itself. So for us this sport is not about being a sponsored athlete as most sponsors out there are not even money backed, they are product only; it is not about being an IFBB pro cause you don’t have to be a pro to inspire others and make a living in this industry; it not about hey look at me and how good I look and post a million selfies of ourselves cause we are too busy staring at ourselves instead of recognizing others for their hard work to help inspire them and inspire others. It is about helping others achieve their goals with their bodies and helping them reach personal bests physically, mentally and with their health. So our business goes so much farther than contest prep and I think many saw that Friday night at Shawna’s class. So if you’re a trainer trying to figure out how to make it in this industry just start by being an inspiration and having a genuine heart to help others achieve their goals. Singling out people by posting a picture of them and then bashing on them is not what a trainer should be doing and it is a bad representation to all of us who work our butts off every day to do what is right in the fitness industry. Even if someone else started it, it is like being an athlete in the spotlight, people are watching and as a trainer if you have had any success than you should have people who follow you and value what you say/post about fitness so it is irresponsible as a trainer to bash someone who is overweight, who has worked their butt off and they don’t quite look like you and you assume that their dumb because they don’t look like you. Well for trainers who do this you better start branching out from contest prep if you want a stable business over time. Shawna and I have been very blessed to have had the business and financial success that we have had especially since we literally started in our garage and we are not done yet either. But the growth of our business is not going to be based on contest prep, although it does help. The growth of our business is dependent on helping the ones like who got bashed today on social media achieve their goals which is going to take time but we believe in these people and that is why you will see Big Jon Fitness around Boise for many years to come, and like us or hate us we will always be here. But for the ones that do hate on us you should really actually be a supporter of us because if you want to know how to go from absolutely nothing to where we are now than we have a good story to tell on how we did that, and it never once was making fun of someone else who doesn’t quite look like us and isn’t even a trainer, and there just searching for their own path in the fitness world to reach their goals. Taking shots at people like this is the easiest way to put yourself out of business. So for everyone who may not be the fittest person in the gym, contact us because really you are the type of client we want and will help you achieve your goals and improve your life and so it the 99% of people in a gym who will never do a bodybuilding show who make gyms like ours successful.
