We receive goods, get paid, or obtain services as a reciprocol effect of us first doing something or obtaining something that requires something first on our part. Example: We get paid at the end of the week/bi-weekly, or monthly after we fulfill the requirements of the jobs that we do. We make payments on cars or things after we have received the goods or services. Then the rewards are ours to enjoy after we met the requirements of the agreement and only after following the terms of the agreement. We also can use the services or things now (Jesus) while we are yet on a payment plan (leading of the Holy Spirit). So why do we seek to enjoy the benefits of God without living up to the terms of the agreement. Many are delinquent on their account expecting a return on the payment or services Jesus rendered without first completing or even looking at our service agreement. The benefit of the promises of God comes with a service package. We are supposed to walk in obedience and agreement with Christ then we are to partake in the benefits of having received the services. Receiving services and enjoying the benefits without meeting our requirements places us in default. Even when the interest was lowered (freedom from the law) we still have a problem with making the payments. Even when we were told the richness of the final payment (abundant life/salvation) we still look for the reward without completing out end of the contract. Come find out what are your requirements (the truth) before your loan is turned over to collections (hell/judgment).
