We received an email from Animal Friends of the Valleys Monday. It read: This friendly girl was left in our night drop with the following note, “MY NAME IS CHLOE. I AM HOUSEBROKEN, BUT SOMETIMES HAVE ACCIDENTS AT NIGHT. I AM CRATE TRAINED. I KNOW BASIC COMMANDS (SIT, LAY DOWN, SHAKE). I LIKE TO GO ON WALKS. I AM GOOD WITH CATS AND DOGS. I AM GOOD WITH KIDS. I HAVE A HARD TIME HEARING. I LOVE TO EAT.” They did not give a reason for turning in Chloe, but she did arrive with kennel cough for which we have been treating her in our isolation area away from other dogs and the public. Chloe is 23 pounds, has worn upper canines, and we recommend a dental cleaning for her. Of course, we arranged transport as soon as we could, and yesterday, one of our volunteers went and rescued Chloe. Picture on left is Shelter Photo, picture on right is Chloe smiling when help came. We will make sure she gets the care she needs and then Chloe will be ready for adoption. We know there is someone out there who will give her a forever home and never give up on her again and we will find them for her!
