Dear Mr and Mrs. Hannon, My name is Annie Blumenfeld and I am 16 years old. I came across all your outstanding efforts and I would like to make a donation to your organization. My family rescued a dog more than two years ago from a high kill shelter in Houston, Texas. It was discovered that Master Teddy had a serious case of heart worm disease. He was left inactive in a crate for 2 months, with many vaccinations, and X-Rays. It broke my heart to learn that he could not understand why he was in this situation and that he could not play with any of his other friends. It was such a painful, expensive, and long process that could have been easily avoided with a monthly preventive. After seeing my dogs suffering I wanted to learn more and discovered that heart worm disease is found in all 50 states and more than one million dogs in the United States currently have heart worm disease. So in an effort to spread heart worm disease awareness, pet responsibility and help support shelter animals medical needs I founded a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization called Wags 4 Hope. It is here where I combine my love of painting together with my passion for helping animals. I sell my artwork and give all of the proceeds to animal shelters globally to help pay for their medical expenses and supply items till they find their forever homes. To learn more about my mission and ways that I have been spreading awareness please visit wags4hope.org. Please visit my Wags 4 hope Facebook page too I have proceeds from my paintings that I have completed for pet owners for holiday gifts. Please let me know where I can mail a check to from my Wags 4 Hope org. I hope you enjoy the remainder of your holiday season and wish you a Happy New Year! Sincerely, Annie Blumenfeld
