Mark Albers gave us excellent assistance for our recent purchase of a house in Blue Bay, Curacao. We did not go to Curacao with the idea of buying property but, soon after we arrived, we decided that it would be a good idea. We went to several real estate agencies and were consistently snubbed. They assumed—wrongly—that because we dress like slobs, it was not worth spending time with us. Mark was friendly and welcoming. He showed us available properties and also gave us a lot of helpful information about Blue Bay and Curacao. When we told him that the standard arrangements at the resort didn’t suit us, he proposed an alternative that we found perfect. He also helped us through the purchasing process and with many logistical details, including arranging for a property manager. He even offered to purchase some urgently needed furniture for us--this was really not his concern, and I greatly appreciated the gesture. We are not sure if we will retire to Curacao, but we plan to enjoy our little house as we mull over retirement possibilities.
