We recently brought you some wonderful news about Max The Boxer who found a lovely home after waiting at the shelter for ever so long. We announced his adoption and we were all very excited, until his recent vet visit. Max is still on trial in his new home as his vet visit, upon departure, resulted in the vet finding a mast cell tumour. The tumour was removed on 8 January and Max is recovering well. He also had a dental whilst anaesthetised to help remove his tartar build up. A cyst was also removed from his stomach area. The results of the mast cell tumour have just been received from the laboratory. The good news for Max is that it was a low Grade 1 (the best you can hope for in a mast cell tumour) and Max will go on to enjoy many happy times ahead with his new family, who he waited so long to find. If you would like to help us with Maxs unexpected vet bill, we would really appreciate your assistance. The cost of surgery to remove the mast cell tumour, remove the cyst and clean his teeth was $850. This is a discounted rate provided by our supportive vets at Nepean Animal Hospital. If you are interested in helping us to pay Maxs vet bill, we would be very grateful.
