We recently shared how we at Christmas time like to bless the children who participate in Please Pass the Bread feeding programs in a special way. One of the places we were able to do this was in D.R. Congo — perhaps the world’s poorest country with 87% of the population surviving on less than $1 a day. 660 children, and many of their parents participated in the festivities, and we were able to distribute a new set of clothes to each of the children. Pastor Tsimba who oversees the feeding programs in D.R. Congo remarked that many parents told him they couldn’t afford to buy their children anything for Christmas. To these families the new outfits were powerful reminders that God has not forgotten them, and caused great joy and thanksgiving. Were deeply grateful for all of you who continue to stand with us in this work. Your faithfulness opens doors that allow us to share the joy of the Lord with the poorest of the poor. Thank you!
