We regret to inform you of the heavenly transition of Sister Dorothy A. Miller-Melvin, daughter of the late Rev. Dr. Isaac Miller, former pastor at St. Stephen AMEC. Brief bio of the late, Mrs. Dorothy A. Miller-Melvin Mrs. Melvin was the wife of the late, Jessup T. Melvin and the daughter of the late, Rev. Dr. Isaac John Miller and Hattie Parrott Miller. Mrs. Melvin unconditionally cared for her family and home always loving to get her hands in God’s soil by tending to her “eye catching” garden. She was a proud preacher’s kid “PK”, Women’s Missionary Society and Lay Organization member at Henry M. Turner AMEC. Mrs. Melvin also served as a mentor to many students and faculty before retiring with 35 years as a teacher with Prince George’s County public school system in Maryland.
