We remember Ansel Adams today and the contributions to nature that he made through his awe-inspiring photographs. In 1980 (just four years before his death) Ansel was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Jimmy Carter. Carter went on to describe Ansel as being visionary in his efforts to preserve this countrys wild and scenic areas, both in film and on Earth and that through his foresight and fortitude so much of America has been saved for future Americans.
