We remember the 15 year southpaw and 23 years voice of the Kansas City Royals, Paul Splittorff. Paul would be 68 today, but passed on in 2011. Born in Evansville Indiana and played his high school sports for the Cardinals of Arlington Illinois high. He then plays his college sports at Morningside College in Sioux City Iowa. He would a 25th round draft pick of the Royals in 1968. Wearing number 25, he breaks in with the Royals in 1970. It would be the start of 15 seasons wearing the Royals Blue. He changes to number 34 in 1972. He is a 20 game winner in 1973. He pitches in ALCS in 76, 77 and 78. That 1978 season, he would be a 19 game winner. He pitches in 1980 World Series against the Phillies. He pitches for the Royals until 1984, winning 186 games. He would be a broadcaster for the Royals from 1988 thru 2010
