We romanticize the idea of having one true love- a soul mate -one - TopicsExpress

We romanticize the idea of having one true love- a soul mate -one person we love for our whole lives. For some people that happens, but for most it doesnt work like that. Ive been in love a few times, and each love was completely different. The lessons were different, the experience was different, and I was different. I could look back and say it didnt work out, therefore it wasnt love but that would be lie. I was in love with those people, and they taught me about myself... as much as I hate to admit it sometimes, I am thankful for them. I believe there are multiple soul mates, and they come in many forms. Not every relationship is meant to last forever- sometimes that person is there in your life to teach you something. Why discredit that love just because it didnt last forever? For me, I want to feel the hearts of many and fall in love with the world. I want to learn every crevice of the heart. Ive had issues with letting go of loved ones, in all aspects of life. It feels impossible to let go of someone you love. and I wanted to share this because Ive just recently learned you never lose them if youve learned from them. They become a part of you. One day I would love to find one person to be with for the rest of my life- but right now my heart is here with open arms, ready for the bruises and the scars and all the beautiful, twisted mysteries of love. (I apologize for this long status- I often times find these very obnoxious, but I recently read one that helped me get through the day. So hopefully you can forgive me for my book Ive just posted. Love you.)
