We run three at Wexford this afternoon, a track we havent ran much - TopicsExpress

We run three at Wexford this afternoon, a track we havent ran much at in recent years for no particular reason. I can only assume that the programme here didnt suit our horses at the time but we did run Roheryn here this year to win her maiden. Crafted Mastery is a backward type that needed the summer grass earlier and she has come back stronger and easier to train. She seems well and Ive chosen to run her very fresh as opposed to race fit in the hope that she can win her maiden. An 80 rated sort will beat her but otherwise I expect her to run well. Thunder Zone disappointed a bit on his first run as the winner made him look distinctly slow. Forgiving him for maybe running a bit keen and green and with normal improvement I would hope he could go close here. Hes a big strong Shamardal gelding that wants a trip and some juice in the ground. Ultimately his job will be jumping but Ive always thought he would win his flat maiden at least! Unrequited has had his chances to win his maiden and has come up short so Ive gone the handicap route. Typically the maiden on this card is his form and maybe I should have given him one more chance as this handicap looks very competitive. He needs top of the ground and Im disappointed I havent won with him yet. Again hes one that will do the NH job next year but he definitely should be winning at this level first. HGD
