We see the Winter Solstice as the point where days start to become longer, however there are associated, powerful and meaningful symbolisms that over the years weve learned to unremember. Wican, Pagan, Earthchild, hippy, it doesnt matter what label is used. What matters is that we accept the powers of nature. Earth, Air, Water and Fire. These elements surround us, shape us, protect us and guide us. We are as much a part of nature as life itself. The harmony, symbiosis and synergy cannot be dismissed - if you want to hang your belief structure, faith, or religion on this, fine, nature doesnt care. The only message Id like to pass on is simple: Harm None. I wish you all a Solstice of renewal, and Yuletide wishes that the elemental powers of sharing love, peace, harmony and friendship grow stronger and become elements of power and strength in your life, aligned with the glorious forces of nature, and the natural way.
