We serve a loving and compassionate God. When we mess up, He is quick to forgive when we confess and repent. However, we are often not as kind to ourselves. Although God has forgotten and moved on, we are still playing past mistakes over and over in our minds. We somehow find it difficult to accept the grace that will help us to move forward with a life of joy and peace. We may even think that we need to pay and suffer for whatever we did wrong. We think that we are unworthy and undeserving of His forgiveness, and we ruminate on the sins we have committed. Guilt becomes a constant companion. We may have made great mistakes. But know that God has a destiny panned for you. Remember that God will always forgive you when you repent (repentance meaning we really try our best to turn away from the sin).
