We should NOT be surprised to find that we are walking the path to - TopicsExpress

We should NOT be surprised to find that we are walking the path to YHVH’s Kingdom, with VERY few companions. The Way IS a narrow way and it IS the few who truly find that path. There are many paths before us, but only ONE leads all the way to His Kingdom. It takes wisdom and discernment to know the way. It takes courage and boldness to follow the path least traveled. We should NOT be surprised to find that The Way is NOT the popular path…it is NOT the wide path…it is NOT the well marked path. We have to search it out and there are places where it is barely discernible, yet those who know, those who seek, those who do not give up or become discouraged…find their way. We MUST follow the path that He puts before us and sometimes that path takes turns and goes to places we were least expecting. Sometimes the path takes us away from those we have loved and cared for…those twists and turns are met with tears and sorrow, yet…we move forward, always forward, towards the goal before us. It is the few who will travel that path to its end…the few who have the determination and the commitment to stay the course, to not be distracted and to not be deterred. Oh they will face challenges…they will face obstacles and they will face situations that will test them to their very core…it is part of the price for walking The Way. We should not be surprised to find that walking The Way has a cost and that it places demands on us. We have to want it…we have to see it and we have to yearn and long for what lies at the end of the path. We have to pursue it…we have to seek it and we have to set ourselves to going all the way to the end of that path no matter what is put in our way. Many will stumble and fall, many will turn back, many will lose hope, many will become discouraged and many will give up. It is always easier to give up, turn around and go back, then to continue on The Way. It gets lonely walking The Way, yet…we are never alone and there is One who went before us, as an example for us. 1 Peter 2:21-25 21 For to this you were called, because Messiah also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps, 22 “who committed no sin,nor was deceit found in His mouth,” 23 who, being reviled, did not revile in return; suffering, did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24 who Himself bore our sins in His body on the timber, so that we, having died to sins, might live unto righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed. 25 For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your lives. Always, seek the truth…rethink, relearn, return.
