We should all take note that our beloved local media seems eager to see fights and mayhem jump off at this weekends Raider-49er game.. Almost every news channel insists on showing the same fight footage from two years ago over and over again. I hope the folks shown are getting royalties.. But heres the larger point, the media is hyping up the fights vs showing folks who are down for each other, get along with each other and arent about the drama even if they have a favorite team. Many of us are focused on eradicating the violence directed at us by rogue police vs showing up Sunday afternoon to bash on our neighbors, many of whom are under the oppression of gentrification, lowered wages and other multi-national corporate driven schisms and isms . What we should also note is that in spite the fact that 2 years ago there were over 40 fights with two people being shot, there is no State of Emergency being called. No tanks, No drones, No tear gas, No national guard, No multi-city response teams or any other display of militarism by local law enforcement. We should take note and understand this lack of aggressive precautionary steps means that those in charge are well aware of other ways to resolve potential problems and that when all the stops are pulled out to deal with protests its done so with a clear purpose in mind..intimidation, suppression and continued dehuminzation of a people.... #staywoke And lets be completely honest after the Raiders win this weekend, what we are gonna have is a bunch of angry Niner fans breaking their fancy wine glasses and throwing brie cheese at everyone..
