We should remember that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has told us that when ALLAH loves somebody he sends them tests. Many of us think that tests come as a punishment, or because he is angry with us. This is not necessarily the case.ALLAH sends us difficulties for a variety of different reasons. One of them being that it makes us stronger and better people. If you look throughout history at the lives of anyone important, the story will be filled with problems, difficulties, and obstacles. It is through fighting these obstacles that they emerged as great personalities.If we look at the example of Prophet Yusuf (peace be upon him), he faced difficulties upon difficulties; first being thrown into the well by his brothers, then being taken as a prisoner to a strange land, then being seduced, then being imprisoned, all to become the right hand man of the King. It was all a training to become a righteous ruler.
