We should stop telling our kids in school everyday that anything is possible and that you can be whatever you want to be. Not only is it often not true, because most kids have a range of abilities and arent superhuman, but if they dont become a doctor think how shitty they will feel in comparison to their more academically talented brethren. We have to bring this country back to realism and a bit of healthy pessimism and skepticism, and away from this new-agey crap of anything is possible and follow your dreams. People dont always have the abilities demanded of them by society and to claim that they do is just lying. To them, to ourselves, to everyone.
