We showed the Dakota 38 film at the Capri Theater in north Minneapolis on Sunday, January 11. The comments and reactions from the crowd were priceless. There was much awe and wonderment about the riders and their ability to withstand the weather and all the physical challenges associated with the ride. We shared our stories and the rich experiences from the perspective of the riders, supporters and communities that have been touched by the ride. I met an individual who sits on the school board who is now determined to make the change to include this topic in their American History curriculum. We met several young people who asked what they could do to make change. We shared that its important for their families and communities to know the truth of Minnesotas greatest secret. We also asked the young people to educate themselves about the KXL pipeline and our treaty issues. All in all it was a wonderful experience.
