We sincerely apologize to all of you wonderful people who are following our work for being so quiet lately. We haven’t posted many updates on the roof repairs at Cat Shelter Felix and the kitties’ health, to name just a few, as we’ve been terribly busy and literally swamped by problems that we have literally no idea how to solve. So far we’ve managed to raise a little less than half of the sum we need to finish the roofing replacement. We’re heartfeltedly grateful to everyone who has helped so far, but there’s still a long way to go to cover all of the costs and time is running short. We purchased the wooden cladding needed to fill in the gaps between the top of the walls and the roof of the auxiliary cats’ rooms, but the additional material needed to make the triangular wooden gables has been purchased on a credit which hasn’t been paid off yet. Moreover, we’ll have to purchase metal sheeting in order to lengthen the metal roof and extend it over the existing path so that the entire walkaway will be a sheltered place that’s very needed, particularly during the cold snowy months. Tink and Shadow are sneezing and are both under treatment; Kremko is not feeling very well either. All of the cats from the backyard are still confined in the improvised enclosure of which they’ve had just about enough and are constantly trying to break out. Not a single dime has been paid of the workers’ wages yet… Please, spread the word of our plight and help us in any way you can!
