We spent a few days at San Juan this week at my inlaw`s beach house. I have concerns about the following and if you have them as well, we can lobby in our own ways on these issues: 1. That the Alcaldia do a feasibility study to re-route city gutter trash from city directly to beach. 2. That businesses not be allowed to set up their goods directly in front of the new PUBLIC BATHROOMS therefore hiding access to public. 3. That refrigerated delivery trucks not be allowed to park all night downtown and disturb locals and hotel guests due to high noise levels. 4. That all downtown sidewalks be scrubbed and sanitized from 2-5 times per week either by owners or the Alcaldia. 5. That dog owners be responsible for collecting dog doo on beach and on city sidewalks and streets. 6. That construction laws be obeyed and stop at key hours of the day (a hotel was under construction close to 11 p.m. recently). 7. Promote anti-littering policies year-round with marketing tools to inspire and punishment to enforce. If the Alcaldia receives enough lobbying on the above issues, it may be motivated to act. I know people have additional legitimate gripes.
