We start off this week by reminding everyone that the club AGM is this coming Friday the 5th December and is to be held at the Specialized Concept Store, Ruislip High Street starting at 7 p.m..This is the opportunity for people to have a say in how the club is run and to volunteer to run and help out at events on behalf of the club. Remember a club is only as good as the members within in it, so please try and make it. We will be during the evening be discussing the finer details of next years sponsorship arrangement and also about ordering new club kit and going through the club accounts.As part of the sponsorship deal for 2015 there is the opportunity to get some subsidised Specialized bikes, numbers are limited but if you think you deserve one let me know, I will need a brief record of your racing results for the year to help the decision to be made. In terms of racing news, think it was only Neil with a number on his back this weekend who was riding round the World Cup Course at Milton Keynes, just waiting for him to let me know how he got on. Those that are going to the clubs Xmas do need to pay Karen the balance ASAP , the final price is £29.95, also there are a couple of people that still need to confirm their food order. Also looking ahead, full details of the clubs proposed Summer road trip is on the club website, those that have expressed an interest it is time to pay the deposit, remember you have not got a place reserved until you have paid the deposit, if anyone wants more details or a chat about how hard it will be, feel free to call me. Looking back to last week the club rides have been quite poorly attended apart from our first session at Calshot which saw a very good turnout. This week coming Tuesday we will have the road training at Hillingdon and then of course Friday is AGM night with a few people muttering about a curry afterwards,Sunday there will be a road ride from the Malt Shovel 9:30 ,hopefully someone will also post up an MTB ride for the weekend or even Wed night, then next Monday it is club night at The Crown PH from 9p.m. Remember to check out the clubs website/clubs face book page https://facebook/pages/West-Drayton-Mountain-Bike-Club/27327170637 to confirm the latest club news. The club annual reliability ride has been renamed the Bucks Road Sportive for 2015 and will be held on the 22nd Feb so make sure you put this date in your diary when we can see who has been training hard over the winter.
